Zoals bij elke trend zijn er echter ook imitaties: elektrische verwarmingstoestellen die op infraroodpanelen lijken, maar dat in werkelijkheid niet zijn. Hoe herkent u echte infraroodpanelen ten opzichte van andere paneelverwarmers?  <\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Vermogensdichtheid<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Een echt infraroodpaneel levert ongeveer 1000\u20131200 W per m\u00b2 paneeloppervlak. Veel panelen die als \u201cinfrarood\u201d worden verkocht, zijn eigenlijk hybriden. Zo heeft een paneel van 40\u00d7100 cm met ca. 1000 W bijna de dubbele vermogensdichtheid van een echt infraroodpaneel: in de praktijk is dit een hybride met grofweg half stralingswarmte en half convectie. Sommige elektrische panelen gaan nog hoger: bij 20\u00d7100 cm en 2000 W is het geen infraroodpaneel maar feitelijk een convectieverwarmer.     <\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Oppervlaktetemperatuur<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Een infraroodpaneel hoort minimaal 80\u201390 \u00b0C oppervlaktetemperatuur te halen om effectief te zijn. Ligt de temperatuur slechts op 40\u201350 \u00b0C, dan is het waarschijnlijk geen echt infraroodpaneel. <\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Isolatieniveau<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In de bouwmarkt vindt u gemakkelijk goedkope koolstofvezelpanelen van 60\u00d760 cm met circa 400\u2013500 W. De vermogensdichtheid lijkt te kloppen, maar het zijn geen echte infraroodpanelen. Ze halen \u00b170 \u00b0C aan de voorkant, maar door gebrekkige isolatie is de achterkant bijna even warm. Veel energie verdwijnt dan in de muur in plaats van de kamer te verwarmen.  <\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Dikte<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sundirect-heater.com\/infrared-panel-heater-with-frame-pe-plus\/\">Infrarood paneelverwarmers<\/a> zijn doorgaans circa 2 cm dik. Inclusief montagebeugel bedraagt de afstand tot de muur meestal 4\u20135 cm.
